Hosted by Dexter Pratt, Director of Software Development, Trey Ideker's Lab
The workshop will introduce biologists to powerful tools they can use in their day-to-day work. With these tools, you don’t need to be a computational biologist to work with protein networks or pathway data that are relevant to your biological questions. This is a great opportunity to learn to use these tools directly from the development team. No prior experience required!
The workshop will cover:
- Intro to the Cytoscape Ecosystem - Getting Up and Running (It’s Easier Than You Think)
- Creating network diagrams for publication
- Finding pathways based on a list of genes using NDEx iQuery: Pathway Enrichment Analysis
- Sharing and Publishing Networks using the NDEx platform
- Hands-on network and pathway analysis using YOUR data or sample data (provided)
- Hands-on analysis of drug/disease/tissue associations using YOUR data or sample data (provided)
- Hands-on pathway gene enrichment analysis using YOUR data or sample data (provided)
- Optional: Intro to Advanced Features in the Cytoscape Ecosystem
